Precious metal clay - workshop

w. Stephanie zier

saturday march 23rd

Create a pendant and earring set using fine silver Precious Metal Clay (PMC).

PMC contains real silver, an organic binder and water and can be shaped, rolled, molded and textured like any clay.

After drying, the pieces are fired in a kiln where the organic binder burns off and

the small metal particles sinter together into a sold fine silver piece.

All materials, tools and firing will be provided.

Stephanie Zier is an Art Clay Certified instructor and general addict of the PMC medium.

Her work can be found at ZierJewelry.comand on Etsy under ZierJewelry.

Whether you are a new or experienced art journaler, join us to get started, inspired,

learn LOTS of techniques and generally take your practice to the next level.

All supplies provided, but feel free to bring your own journal

and any special materials you’d like to include in your creations.

A Two-Part Series

Friday March 15th

and saturday march 16th

What’s an “Altered Book?” We start with an old book and create a new one by playing with paint,

pictures, glue, and a bit of self-reflection.

In this Friday night—all day Saturday workshop, we will create a finished book from start to finish!

We’ll explore possible themes for our books, choose one, and express our insights with a variety of

techniques involving art, writing, and talking (no previous experience necessary).

Themes we may explore: change in our lives, memories and looking toward the future, adventures, possibilities…

or bring your own idea!

Join us for an inspiring experience as we alter a book and discover new insights along the way!

All materials provided.

Bring your own lunch.

Optional: Bring images, poems, quotes, or small items that have meaning to you to incorporate into your book.

Be sure to scroll all the way down to view ALL upcoming events.

Enroll for events and read full descriptions by clicking anywhere on the flyers.
